A warning: If the thought of tens of millions of tiny spiders spinning a web 24 hectares - 60 acres - in size and crawling all over it scares the wits out of you, you might not want to click on this link. If you do click it, and you shop at Tesco, you should be sure to scroll down to the bit where the Tesco man explains that they use lethal Black Widow spiders to keep bugs off their grapes...

Have you been shown an alien child or your hybrid child? Have you seen the same alien(s) repeatedly? You might be an Abductaholic! Take this handy-dandy quiz and you'll know for sure. If the worst should happen and you find that you are indeed so afflicted, fill in an Application for Exorcism and just wait for the Spiritual Warfare Team to arrive.

The Invisibility Game is nice and simple - it makes your mouse pointer invisible then asks you to steer it accurately. Just click on go then try and click on stop. Hard to describe, harder to play, but terrific fun.

10x10 is described by it's author as 100 Words and Pictures that Define the Time, and while that seems a bit optimistic to me, it is a fascinating visual way to browse the current news headlines. The images are often repeated for different keywords, but I think that may be down to the use of only 3 news sources, and the tendencies of the editors there to re-use images, rather than the app itself. All in all I rather like it, it reminds me of Google News but with more pictures and less sources.

20 Reasons Why you shouldn't post your picture on the internet.

Yet again I am left speechless by something I've seen on the internet. Ladies, meet BikeFox, he being a man of many guises; scary surfer, scary snooker player, scary cyclist, and just plain old scary. In all of the pictures his personality just shines through, doesn't it? You can book him for "a movie, party, or some other type of event" too!

For a mere $19.99 (plus $3 p&p) PawSense will stop your cat from accidentally formatting your hard drive by walking on the keyboard. Does that happen a lot, I wonder? Anyway, it looks to me like a bit of a half-arsed attempt at cat-proofing until you add a Room Defender pointed right at the keyboard and set into "Ambush" mode. After changing the Pawsense sound effect to a good deep sample of a barking Doberman and turned up the speakers, you'll have yourself a pretty effective anti-cat defence I reckon. I suspect it would also work for keeping away toddlers and the elderly.

A quick word of advice for all the parents among you; if you are going to promise your kids a new computer in return for doing well at school, better make sure you have the cash set aside. Or else.
