Here is a rather funny example of the traditional "stupid customer" tech support story...

Ever find yourself curious about sword swallowing? Yeah, me too. Luckily there's a nice site out there with all the information you could ever need (including the emminently sensible advice that you shouldn't try it yourself - as if I needed reminding!).

The Art of Steve Brudniak is difficult to look at in some ways; it's not quite the opposite of pretty, but it is distinctly strange, and his habit of including vials of blood (not all of it his own from what I can tell) or bits of dead animals is a bit odd. I also have trouble imagining the kind of home that would suit such surreal and challenging art on the walls, but for all that, I love it. I suspect the wonderful titles have a lot to do with it, I mean who can resist the lure of something called THE SURGICAL GLOVE OF DR. MICHAEL DE BAKEY, especially when it looks like this?

At first I thought it was a shame that the photography isn't a bit better, but then I found myself wondering if that was deliberate; it worked well with the very basic site design to give me the impression that I had stumbled across a little-known site selling bizarre and powerful objects not intended for the casual visitor. If Hellraiser were being filmed now instead of in the 80's I can imagine Frank finding Lemarchand's Box on a site like this.

Tim sent me this one ages ago, but you've probably noticed I was having trouble posting, so you don't get it til now...

A fun (and thought-provoking, for me at least) game for all you Conspiracy Theorists out there - Hunt The Boeing!

I couldn't find it. Interesting, no?

For the news junkies among us who haven't seen this one already; Google News
collects information from roughly 4000 news sites around the net, and presents
the 'most relelvant' on a nice clean webpage for us. The fun thing about
all this is that there are no humans involved in the process at all - not
even in choosing which stories are more relevant - it's just some (apparently)
rather clever software. There's a little bit more information on how it's
achieved here, but they ain't giving much away. I'm quite impressed, and this has joined my list of News Bookmarks.

If I ever buy a motorcycle I want this guy
to do all my maintenance. I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea
about the mechanical side of bikes, but this looks to me like decent advice,
and the presentation is excellent. Yoyu really need to see the Oil Change tutorial. Honest you do.

If you are running Windows XP you need to read this - probably the biggest security hole of them all has popped up. Luckily, it's easy to close when you know how...
